Gameday Bengals Vs. Raiders 11/22
November 22nd, 2009 | by mikenorrod |Today the Raiders will host the Bengals in what should be a blow out / tune up for the Bengals just as the Lions and Browns should be over the next 3 weeks. There is not reason on paper or otherwise that says the Bengals shouldn’t destroy all 3 teams. The difference is though, history. The Bengals history to be more exact. All of us Bengal fans somewhere in the back of our minds fear the other shoe dropping, we fear that the Bengals in fact are the team we used to think they were, we all are full of hope that they are a new team. The signing of Larry Johnson will either be a sign we are becoming more like the Patriots, or more like the old Bengals, and oh yeah I think we will find out over the next 3 weeks. If we can actually dominate and win the next 3 weeks, I call us odds on Super Bowl winners.
But we have to make this Larry Johnson thing work, I think the Bengals took a huge risk taking him on. If he is a locker room problem as I have read about, then it could be an issue, but if he is not, and he is actually happy to be out of KC (like he should be) and happy to be on a playoff football team (like he should be) then he should be happy and be going all out (like he should be) and if that ends up being the case, it is going to almost cement the Bengals going to the Super Bowl…In my opinion what’s yous?
