Gameday, Bengals Vikings 12/12 RESPECT

In the Cincinnati Bengals never ending search for respect, the game is here that will “probably” give them the most so far this season.  Sure you’ve beat the Ravens, Steelers, Browns, twice each this season in sweeping the division, but eh, there not that good this year (as if that make sweeping your division easier) So you’ve beat Green Bay in Green Bay, eh but you lost to Oakland and Texas, so why should we believe you’ll beat either the Vikings or the Chargers next week, matter of fact this is the Bengals, what’s stopping you from losing your last 4 and giving up the playoffs (this is still an actual possibility).

What is stopping the Bengals from becoming mediocre is the Bengals themselves, a team collectively pulling each other out of the trenches of trash heap they have all been in, this is very similar to an old Raiders team that some guy Madden coached to the Superbowl (don’t know what ever happened to that Madden guy though).

You got Carson Palmer, a should be MVP but because of injuries and bad teams, he isn’t there.

You got OchoCinco, a MVP level player, but has to a lot of people made a joke of himself (though we love him)

You got Cedric Benson, a first round pick with ALL the potential, but got cut for off field problems

You got Larry Johnson, with possibly HOF ability, but ticked off an entire city

You got Tank Johsnon, a great solid everyday player, that no one wanted after charges that got dropped

You got Dhani Jones, a great solid everyday player, that no one seemed to want before he got here

you got Benard Scott, an amazing talent, whom got passed over in the draft for off field problems

should I go on? Because I can, for just about every player on the team!

Did I mention Marvin Lewis, amazing D coach whom everyone loved, but everyone said was fired after this year.

Yeah almost have to compare him to that Madden guy this year, taking this team and making them want to win, making them pull each other up, teaching them to be a team, reminding them to love football and each other.  Think he is still on the hot seat?

All I can say is go Bengals, kick the crap out of the Vikings, beat them up, and come Monday let the critics say, “well that Brett Farve must be losing it late in the season, showing his age” giving the Bengals NO CREDIT, NO RESPECT.

Let them keep doing that all the way till Feb 7th, right after the game, when you can still hear the fans in Miami chanting “WHO DEY, WHO DEY, Who Dey they think they gonna beat them Bengals”  well the answer is they all thought they could beat the Bengals, and if that day does come, you can proudly stand up and say “nooooooo body” ANYMORE, and then the respect will be earned, and given.
